Vincentian Pilgrimage to Sniatyn<\/p><\/div>\n

Over 500 pilgrims travelled \u00a0from different corners of Ukraine to the grave of Blessed Sister Marta Wiecka<\/a>,\u00a0DC. The 5th<\/sup> pilgrimage of the Vincentian Family to Sniatyn,\u00a0\u00a0took place\u00a0on May\u00a010-11, 2014 marking the five years since she was beatified.<\/p>\n

On Saturday Bishop\u00a0Radoslav Zmitrovych, OMI celebrated the solemn Eucharist.\u00a0In his sermon, he reiterated that we should have Jesus Christ in the center of our everyday life as well as peace and serenity in our hearts.<\/p>\n

After the Eucharist the pilgrims were divided into discussion groups. The theme of the sharing was taken from Mathews Gospel (Mt 5,9): \u201cBlessed be the peacemakers \u2026<\/p>\n

The musical group \u201cSanto\u201d \u00a0 then\u00a0presented a\u00a0concert. The group also participated during the Eucharist and other moments during the pilgrimage.<\/p>\n

After dinner, the procession with candles followed from the parish church to the cemetery to the grave of Blessed Sister Marta Wiecka, DC where a prayer service took place.<\/p>\n

On the second day of the pilgrimage we gathered again in the parish church for a Morning Prayer and adoration.<\/p>\n

After adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the veneration ceremony of Blessed Sister Marta\u2019s relics took place during which Sisters of Charity of St.\u00a0Vincent de Paul of the Eastern Rite sang the Akathistos<\/a> to Blessed Marta Wiecka.<\/p>\n

After the veneration of the relics Bishop\u00a0Vitaliy Skomarovskyi\u00a0celebrated Eucharist. In his homily, Bishop Vitaliy pointed out that Christ protects His sheep, and they listen to Him and follow Him. He also put us some questions: \u201cHow do we listen to Jesus? Who is our shepherd?\u201d He ended his homily by pointed out that every single virtue like love, peace, and courage\u2026 be found in the pierced Heart of Jesus.<\/p>\n
